The festive days, which will include concerts, children’s shows, and film screenings, among other activities, will take place between the 26th and 31st of July in the main squares and streets of the historic center of the capital of Bages.
As part of the tradition, the streets and squares of Manresa’s historic center are being decorated to celebrate the Sant Ignasi Festival with a wide range of activities, from the 26th to the 31st of July. The main day will be Thursday, July 31st, the feast of Saint Ignatius.
Among the scheduled activities, one highlight is the concert Posta de Sons, taking place on Tuesday, July 29 at 8:15 p.m. This edition features Marta Shanti — artist, singer, and composer — who will offer an acoustic duo performance at the Pou de Llum, coinciding with the sunset.
Another standout event is the concert at the Cova Sanctuary on Wednesday, July 30, by the Orfeó Vigatà and the Orquestra de Cambra de Vic, performing Mozart’s Requiem KV 626. The concert will be conducted by Daniel Antolí i Plaza and will feature soloists Elena Mateo (soprano), Ainhoa Aguilar (mezzo-soprano), Ferran Mitjans (tenor), and Ferran Albrich (bass-baritone).
On the day of the Feast of Saint Ignatius, Thursday, July 31, another must-see event will be the family activity hosted by l’Avi Lluís at 5:30 p.m. on Sobrerroca Street, near Serarols Street.

This culturally and touristically oriented celebration aims to highlight the value of the city’s historic center and other sites marked by the presence of Saint Ignatius. It is organized by the Manresa City Council and the Fundació Turisme i Fires de Manresa, with the collaboration of La Cova de Sant Ignasi, the Basilica of La Seu, and the Museu de Manresa – Museu del Barroc de Catalunya.
As in previous years, Manresa-based illustrator Galderic Sala has been responsible for creating the festival’s image.
