This Saturday, February 21st, will be a day to remember the two-year anniversary of the Museu del Barroc de Catalunya, which was inaugurated on Llum (Light) Day of 2024. Like every year, there will be programming of free activities, such as an open house or the new self-guided family activity.
Programming
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Open House at the Museu del Barroc de Catalunya: Come and enjoy the Museu del Barroc de Catalunya, a museum of national importance that transform Manresa into a reference place to interpret the Catalan Barroque Art. A fascinating journey through culture, landscape, and art of the XVII and XVIII centuries will be offered by more than 200 artworks with music, video, and light effects.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Open House at the Museu Petit del Museu de Manresa: In this exhibition you will find a selection of the works from the Museu de Manresa’s collection, just as the “Gegants” and “Nans Vells” of the city.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Self-guided family activity “El Cas Moreneta”: Last night something terrible happened: the Moreneta’s crown disappeared! Four characters that are hidden at the Museum are the source of all suspicions. Can you find the guilty and recover the crown? The investigators who succeed in doing it will receive a reward.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Make a stop at the cloister!: At the cloister you will find a gastronomic service with tables and chairs to rest. Visit this unique place and enjoy a meal or snack in one of the most unique cloisters in the city.
De 17 a 18 h – Anniversary Show: Berta Sala’s versatile voice joined by the dancers of the Cos de Dansa of the Esbart Manresà of the Agrupació Cultural del Bages will act at the cloister of the museum with a unique show that combines voice and dance to celebrate the second anniversary of the Museu del Barroc de Catalunya.
