From October 9th to 13th enjoy the activities of the museum, plan for the European Heritage Days!
The European Heritage Days, promoted by The Council of Europe and the European Commission, is an event open to everyone and a great opportunity to rediscover our cultural heritage, with the main aim of stronger the link between heritage and the society.
This year is made under the slogan “itineraris, xarxes i connexions” (itineraries, nets and connections). The towns and communities, countries and cultures, had been historically connected and heritage can also explain this historical connection and itineraries link to trade, immigration and tourism, and to influence in the social cohesion and protection of the human rights.
From Manresa, we participate in this celebration opening the doors of the main elements of our cultural heritage and offering itineraries and activities interesting for all audiences. We extend the activities calendar to the days before and after the European Heritage Days to accommodate all the proposals.
The Museu de Manresa – Museu del Barroc de Catalunya will plan a proposal of activities and open day to commemorate this special day.
The next Wednesday 9th October will take place in the welcome space of the Museu del Barroc, the lecture “L’escultura del segle XVII a Ponent realitzada pels tallers del Bages”, by Joan Yeguas i Gassó, curator of the Renascence and Boroque area of the Museu Nacional d’art de Catalunya. A lecture about the art made by the families of sculptors of Manresa, that had work in the “Terres de Ponent” region.
And Sunday 13th October, it’s plan an open day at he Museu del Barroc de Catalunya and at the Museu Petit, where it can be contemplated, the collection of the Museu de Manresa, and also the old giants of the city. For this same day, the museum had planned a familiar activity. It is a dynamic game called “Rebel·lió al Museu. Resol els misteris dels animals perduts”, that invite the families to became researchers and go all over the different spaces of this institution to resolve the different trials that encourage the observation, the discovery and the knowledge.
