As the culmination of the lecture series “La Música a la Catalunya del Barroc (1600–1773),” this final session, titled “Beyond the ‘Scala Aretina’ Controversy: Sources, Research, and Interpretation of Catalan Baroque Music”, will offer a historical overview of musicology and Baroque music in Catalonia. The session will also include a guided tour of the Museu del Barroc de Catalunya’s collection, with a focus on its musical dimensions.
Both the lecture and the tour at the Museu del Barroc will be led by musicologist and essayist Oriol Pérez Treviño.
